1. Purpose and Scope

This document outlines the comprehensive Jewelry Care, Warranty, and Satisfaction Policy for KraftedKey. Our mission is to provide exquisite, handcrafted jewelry backed by a commitment to quality and transparency. This policy applies to all jewelry items purchased directly through the KraftedKey official website or authorized sales channels.

2. The KraftedKey Promise: 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Effective Date: October 30, 2025

We proudly stand behind our craftsmanship. Within the first 30 days of delivery, KraftedKey provides a satisfaction guarantee against specific manufacturing and quality issues.

2.1 Quality Assurance Coverage

Under normal, everyday use, KraftedKey guarantees:

Structural Integrity: The piece will withstand regular wear without structural failure, chain breakage (excluding accidental pulling), or clasp malfunction.
Plating Durability: The plating will remain intact and will not abnormally discolor or tarnish within the first 30 days, provided it is not exposed to harsh chemicals, perfumes, or water.

2.2 Refund and Compensation Structure

To maintain our ability to offer competitive pricing and high-quality bespoke service, compensations under the 30-day guarantee are processed exclusively as follows:

Store Credit (KraftedKey Wallet): Equivalent to the original purchase price.
Discount Voucher: A voucher worth ₹399 or the value of the jewelry item (whichever is lower).
Note: Direct cash or bank refunds are strictly not available under the 30-day quality guarantee.

3. Extended 6-Month Plating Warranty

Effective Date: June 01, 2026

In addition to the initial 30-day guarantee, KraftedKey offers an extended 6-Month Warranty specifically protecting the premium plating of your customized pieces.

Re-plating Service: If your jewelry’s plating exhibits abnormal fading within 6 months of purchase (despite proper care), KraftedKey will re-plate the item at no cost for the service.
Warranty Extension: Upon completing the re-plating process, your item receives an additional 90 days (3 months) of warranty coverage from the date it is shipped back to you.
Logistics: The customer is responsible for courier charges to safely return the product to the KraftedKey warehouse. The exact warehouse address will be provided via email during the claim process.

4. Exclusions and Limitations

This policy strictly does not cover damage resulting from:

Physical Abuse: Accidental impact, bending, crushing, snapped chains from pulling, deep scratches, dents, or overall mishandling.
Chemical Exposure: Rapid tarnishing or discoloration caused by prolonged exposure to water (bathing/swimming), excessive sweat, perfumes, lotions, sanitizers, or household cleaning products.
Unauthorized Alterations: Any repairs or modifications made by a third-party jeweler.
Loss or Theft: Missing items or lost components are not eligible for replacement or refund.
Change of Mind: Dissatisfaction with style, font, or fit after a bespoke item has been produced and worn.

5. Eligibility and Claim Process

5.1 Claim Requirements

To qualify for a claim under either warranty, the customer must:

Submit the claim within the respective timeframe (starting from the confirmed date of delivery).
Provide Proof of Purchase: Valid Order Number and invoice.
Provide Evidence: Clear, well-lit photos or videos documenting the defect.
Maintain Original Condition: For 30-day claims, the item must include original KraftedKey packaging, tags, and certificates.

For 6-Month Re-plating Claims: Email warranty@kraftedkey.com with the subject line "6-Month Plating Claim – [Your Order Number]".

6. Jewelry Care Guidelines (The Krafted Standard)

Proper care is essential to maintain your warranty coverage and ensure the longevity of your premium plating. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will accelerate tarnishing and void your warranty.

Store Properly: Keep pieces in separate, airtight KraftedKey pouches to prevent tangling (especially 18-inch chains) and oxidization.
Last Thing On: Put your jewelry on after applying makeup, perfume, and hairspray to avoid chemical contact.

No Chemicals: Strictly avoid chlorine, bleach, sanitizers, and harsh household cleaners.
No Water: Remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, hitting the gym, or washing dishes.
No Abrasives: Never use toothpaste, baking soda, or rough paper towels to clean your plated items.
